We are finally going for our honeymoon! haha
Wanted to sleep early but then, cant really sleep leh :)
Anyway, just wanted to inform all of you that we will be moving away from this blog after we come back from Nikoi. We realised that we have too much videos and photos to share and blogger cant really make it. So once we managed to collate all the photos and videos, we will make another announcement here on where we are going to move to.

Thanks everyone for coming and making it such a special night for us. Hope it has been a memorable night for you as much as it had been for us.

It must have been a blast for all to view our antics on the screen ( I will forever be haunted by the gatsby tune as well as the roar of the MGM lion, haha), judging from the pelts of laughters we heard as we waited outside in preparation for the walk-in.

Special thanks must really go to Pamela, who hammed it up for us as well by lending us her face for the gatsby ad. :) She was also the coordinator for the church wedding as well as the emcee for the night. Kudo to her for taking on so many roles :)

Warm gratitude also go to Ivan who sweated and fretted as our AV in-charge for both church and dinner. The sudden exposure to so many types of players, as well as the wild tight timing to play the wide arrays of clips and songs must have drove him mad. Ivan also did a great job in coordinating and managing the dinner.

Of course, endless thanks to our sisters;- Weijun, Pig, Kara, Jessie and Yufen. They more than 'earned' their shares of the gate-crash "fees"! haha. Thanks for sweating it out for us.

Last but not least, to our brothers, Irwin, Oh, Tai and Tzen; and my Best Man, Ben: you guys (and gal) are the best! The day would not have gone so smoothly without you!

Veronica (Dom's Sister) and cousins and Joyce's niece and nephew also helped tremendously!

Also most most importantly our parents and immediate family members who have helped out in everyway possible (mentally, physically, spiritually thru prayers..) to make this wedding a success...

We realised from several feedbacks that the church can be quite difficult to find as the signs to the church is not that prominent. So no worry, we are gonna have a pictorial guide here to show the way!!!!

Driving instructions

Pls exit at PIE EXIT 28 and turns towards Bukit Batok along Ave 3.
Keep right and turns RIGHT at Ave 6.

You should see the church up the slope on the left.

Driving further, you will see a 'heavy vehicle park' on your left, turn LEFT at that junction.

The carpark entrance is on the left, up the slope.

Keep left and enter the underground carpark.

Carpark is at level 2, take the stairs or lift up to level 3 to the church!

Har Har Har Har.......

We finally survived the gruelling process of picking our wedding shoot photos! AND WE NEVER BOUGHT EXTRA PHOTOS!!!!!!! From 500++ photos we deleted until 30 photos. Warao. Sweat lor. It helped that i was tired and just want to get it over and done with.

A few snippets of our on-going repeated conversation:-

Thanks to people around us who keep telling us we must resist the temptation. Especially my sister-in-law who emphasised that they regretted right after they bought 4 extra photos which cost $80++ each. We made a decision not to regret. Ok let this be a small experience for all others to learn. That bridal boutiques will definately encourage you to spend on buying more photos than the number you are given. But dont cave in!!!! (unless you really love to have an album and will flip it everyday.)

To us (me and dom) budget constraint people, we made a choice not to cave in and we found that its better that we acknowledge the following pointers:-
1) We will not flip the wedding album as often as we hope we will because life will definately go on and the album will sit there and collect dust.
2) Why spend so much money on a few photos when you can use that money to make your home better (which you definately will go home to everyday).
3) 1 photo $65, 10 more extra photos is $650!!!!!! That is 65 movie tickets or 216 plates of chicken rice or half a plasma tv.
4) Yes, the photos look really nice, but just press the delete button and by the next 3 days you will forget all about it because life goes on with work, school and wedding planning.
5) We really don't like the feeling of being ripped off. $65 for one photo is rediculous because we already paid a few thousand for the package. Please lor. Its just photos and in their market they don't even want to give clients the raw digital prints (for those unchosen ones). Pple really make huge money doing weddings and they make so much hype over just one day.
6) Better be happy than be broke because of photos..ahah... ""-_-

First Fitting...

Heylo havent blogged for a bit. Anyway, first fitting was last saturday. And it was a little confusing and frustrating cause i was constantly bombarded with decisions like to lace or not, to embroider or not, to beads or not, halter not halter or whatever that is, more fashion/wedding gown/girly jargons thrown at me. I seriously was trying my top best to imagine what kinda gown i like and will suit me. I dont know if its me or not, but i feel im a girl which hardly fit anywhere but in between everything.

-i cant take acrylic beads (for some obscure reason i find this plastic cheap looking and.. very ching chong lian..)

-i dont like too much lace on top of each other because i t can look too messy to the eyes.

-I dont like baby pink and blue because its too soft... and babyish..and sweet..

For some wierd observation i made, the dresses that most girls like, can end up invoking a revolting expression in my face. I dunno. maybe im not a girl... WHAhahahahahahaha..

anyway, Attached is a pic of a gown that inspired me because of the train. Its just.. elegent, yet rugged, structured yet artistic, simple yet sophisticated. only thing is, maybe a little too white.whahaha..

Second (Index) finger represents your Siblings

Sien loh... trying to find hotel that is nice and can fit 25 tables... :C

Our Wedding Specs:-
Demographics: Majority will be older folks (so they will prefer sit down banquet in nice comfy hotel)
Number of pple : 230-250 = 23-25 Tables Max
Food: of course must be good or above average. .
Location: Must have ample parking. must be old pple friendly. Must be aircon. (i wish i can have outdoor on rooftop, but i dunno if that will go well)...
Budget: 900++ or 1100 nett

Currently looking at Swissotel, Traders, Grand Corpthorne,

Orchard, Orchard Parade, Meritus Mandarin, M dun have dates for us.. sulk.

Am i asking for the sky? no right...

Signed Wedding Package!!!

Thanks to Pig, we signed a wedding package at a really good deal yesterday at the Annual Wedding Roadshow in Bugis with Yvonne Creative. The complete package (from gown to phtog to car decor to bouquets to suits to jackets, is of course much cheaper than the usual with lots of good deals.. thanks to Pigs astronomical bargaining power.. whahahaha... !!!

Now i have to watch my diet like a HAWK!!!! *argh* in order to fit into the gown by june... EEk!!!

We have left with the Hotel to tie up...

And we most likely will be holding the church wedding at the Church of St Mary of The Angels. A very nice catholic church..well, Dom's dad insist we have it at a catholic church, so we found this one.. nice and modern.

Anyone have any idea what are the helpers we need for church wedding and stuff?

That's the queue number we got for the balloting exercise for October! Wow, you might say, but frankly we are not that excited, most of the flats are repurchased flats. It didn't really occur to how come I was adversed to the idea until I hear myself answering a friend who posed me the question if I was afraid that it might be haunted.

I replied that I was not scared of living with 'someone' else, at least you can negotiate with 'it', exorcise 'it' or ask it to leave. But if you have damn problems with loansharks, you might find it difficult to chase such pests away. Besides the embarassment of having to live with having your unit number plastered all over is another, notwithstanding having to clean up the mess of painting over the graffiti or worse, having glues on your locks or worst, arson?! Gosh, how can I allow such pests to bother my darling?!

well. in the previous post, i said we got an appointment. In the end, we didnt go, cos as fate would have it, I got an sms on the 10th saying that all chinese slots have been taken up. So right now, we are looking at the new bimonthly sale that just opened on the 10th... hopefully this time, we can get a smaller ballot number :)

Actually.. you didn't ask me to sit with you all.. i remembered, you were sitting alone near the middle to back rows and i just couldn't find i seat near the year three peoples when i came into the theatre because i was a little late, so i went and sat next to you (a year two guy back then...). Then you turned to me and said, "Hi, I'm Dom!" ... I find it wierd cause.. its an afternoon class, im going to be half asleep cause i just came from the pool and i want to sit and stone. Whahahahahaha... , right before the lecturer called out names i changed place to seat near my peers... whahahaah... first time i heard the name Dominic, interesting. But of course, as weeks pass by, i noticed you cause

YOU WEAR FLIP FLOPS AND FLAP DOWN THE THEATRE STAIRS TO SIGN YOUR ATTENDANCE.

Every single time. Some more time passed by and i actually find you quite cute, there was one time you actually sat next to me again.

The Day it all Began

There I was sitting with steph waiting for the lecture to start. As usual it was to be a long wait waiting for all the monkeys to settle down :)

Then the proverbial 'backpacker' walked in. I see Joyce for the first time.

'Why the nickname?' you might ask.

Well, she is forever carrying the big backpack, think the bag was on her more often than she changed clothes. And she will always be attired in a pair of jeans with simple tops like her Ts or floral Hawaiian shirts and her hair tied back in a ponytail. One look at her and you can imagine her standing by the side of the road with her thumb up at the passing traffic.

Frankly, she caught my eyes then. I was like thinking, 'Wow, what a tall butch!'

But then she raised her heaed and looked around looking for seats, and I saw something. Her jaws. Somehow, from where I was perched at the top of the lecture theatre, she looked so sexy with her head tilted up! At that moment, I most probably saw what most people did not see, this is a babe in disguise!

For a moment, I was trying to picture her in a dress! haha

Then she walked up the aisle, and I, well I seriously don't know why I did that, but I actually called out to her and said hi and all and asked her to sit with us.I was to learn later from her that she was quite weird out by me. :(

1) Hotel/Restaurant
-A location that provides lunch buffet (suggestions?)
-Of course... cheap and good.. like all singaporeans would wish..
-But first. How many tables. (obviously, i wished its ten. really hate crowds.)
-And budget? *argh*

2) Church
-Which church is the nicest to have a wedding at? Location scouting time.

3) House
-Waiting for matured estate to open up.
-Budget at 300-350k.
-Budget reno at 50k

4) Wedding package (gowns/photography)
-tanjong pagar is very confusing. Any one have recommendations?
-of course, cheap and good, the singaporean way.
-Besides that, we might do a combi project engaging anyone we know who does photography. Something on the side.
